She & Him

She: was feeling the regular sweet tooth calling and chose homemade granola, greek yogurt, blueberries and bananas with a drizzle of maple syrup; toast with marmalade; and, tea.

You have to kiss a lot of frogs... to find your prince ;)
He: was feeling more savoury and opted for: a spinach and cheese omelette, 'inspiration' salad (i.e. open the fridge door and get inspired), toast with smoked salmon spread, and coffee.

Both: enjoyed each other's company and listened to a little CBC radio. x

Vacation photos - Glen Sutton aka. "Paradis Perché"

As a Christmas gift, Antoine offered us a weekend in a 'rustic treehouse' located in the Eastern Townships...

Our 'Paradis Perché'
It was an entirely romantic weekend. We arrived late Friday evening and woke to this incredible view:

In the distance we can see Jay Peak, Vermont
Equipped with an old-fashioned wood stove and basic kitchen supplies, we were able to make some simple meals and keep warm:

Tea (that took about 10 minutes to boil!) and breakfast pitas
On Saturday, we hiked one of the trails at the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton, at lunch at the summit of Mount Sutton and relaxed at a spa... bliss.

Sunday we got up early so as to fit in a full day of skiing (one of my favorite ski hills) before heading back to Montreal. All in all, quite the idyllic mini-getaway.
